Niya and Justice - Part 1

Out cat niya is very into the observance of rituals and a correct/just treatment of cats. That includes herself obviously, but at the same time she looks after other cats too.

The first example of this mindset is a story with our cat Jenny at the patio door. Sadly Jenny passed away in the meantime.

You need to know that we lost two cats in a short amount of time without them leaving a trace. That is why we decided not to let new cats go free. Only cats that were used to going free over many years still were allowed to go out. Jenny was allowed. Niya and Chilli werent allowed to roam free (from the beginning for them.)

We found other ways for them to enjoy fresh air, but we will go into that in another article.

In this story Jenny was outside and Niya sat at the patio door. Jenny wanted to get in and we didnt notice her. Then Niya intervened and complained for Jenny to be allowed inside. Niyas weapon is her voice.

I went to the patio door to let Jenny in. Niya went out of the way to the side and didn't even try to move to the opening. (to smell for instance). She knew she wasn't allowed to do that.

I never before witnessed a cat showing that kind of charact trait.
