mbcw BLOGBlackbird nest in my tool shed July 2021 Part 1
I am building a tool sched, sadly I am slow in doing that. To slow it seems. A pair of Blackbirds was determined to use that shed as a nesting place. So much for my building... Thus I thought I could observe the nest with my camera. In this first part the camera is quite far away from the nest, so the birds can get used to the situation. Sadly Blackbirds are masters of not moving as observed in previous videos. A female hatching eggs is ever better at that.... Thats why 4.5 hours of raw material ended up in 8 Minutes even though the mother was directly in view for almost the whole time.

Technical Stuff: I made this video using a stationary camera with 4k and 60 fps. To get material of most of the day I needed to retrieve the recording from the camera multiple times. I needed to place the camere anew after that. That is why the viewing angle changes slightly. The sound is the original sound as captured by the camera.
